Greetings to all who have gathered for this year’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Celebrations.
 

I applaud your participation in an event that celebrates California’s great diversity.  There is no room for intolerance in our Golden State, and your efforts are helping fight prejudice, promote respect and strengthen communities.  Thank you for taking action to bring about greater change and understanding in our state. 
 

Today is a fantastic reminder that California continues to work hard to be a place where every individual and every family can feel at home.  I appreciate your achievements toward making that a reality, and I am proud to join you in creating a brighter future for all of our state’s residents.
