Terry has been active with Log Cabin since he joined Log Cabin Los Angeles in 1987. He has served three terms as President of the local chapter, been active on the state board of Log Cabin California and is currently Chairman of Log Cabin California. He is also on the national board of Log Cabin.

During his tenure as President of Log Cabin Los Angeles, the club began a Celebrity Speakers Series. These events were designed to offer opportunities for members to meet and hear differing points of view. The stars have included: Tammy Bruce, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Phyllis Diller and Ben Stein.

Terry believes that political discussion keeps an organization vital and growing. He also believes that talk is cheap. Words must always be backed up with deeds.
